DataCo was formed in August 2014 as part of an operational separation of Telikom PNG. It now manages international gateway connections and is a wholesale provider of Internet and backbone communications in Papua New Guinea. Like the company it was split from, it's a subsidiary of Kumul Telikom Holdings.
