American Samoa

ASTCA and BlueSky American Samoa provide telephones, Internet, and television into a market with 40% Internet uptake.

American Samoa's primary link to the world is the Hawaiki Cable, which launched in July 2018. Its secondary link is the ASH (American Samoa Hawaii) Cable, owned by the Bluesky group.  A third short "international" cable called SAS connects American Samoa with Samoa, 125 km to the west. For a number of years prior to the completion of Hawaiki, both carriers supplemented their cable capacity with satellite links on O3b, terminating in Hawaii. Via the SAS cable, it's possible for Samoan carriers to connect to other destinations via cables landing in Samoa, including Manatua and Tui.

American Samoa enjoys strong competition between its two operators, and has advanced infrastructure including 4G and Fibre to the Home (FTTH).
