Kiribati

ATH Kiribati is the nation's sole telecommunications carrier. It operates all telecommunications in the island chains, including fixed line, pay-phones, radio telephone, cellular mobile, and fixed wireless broadband. Following 2016's sale of Telecom Services Kiribati Limited by the Kiribati government to Fiji's Amalgamated Telecommunications Holdings, nine of the company's cellular towers have been upgraded to 4G LTE.

Kiribati's main centre Tarawa connected to O3b Networks in late 2015. The closest submarine cable to Kiribati is the HANTRU-1 cable which lands at Majuro, Republic of the Marshall Islands. In 2018 Kiribati's government ICT arm has signed on to connect to Southern Cross's NEXT cable, assisted by a grant from the Asian Development Bank.
