Honotua
Honotua
Honotua is a 4,650 km cable connecting Tahiti with Hawaii, operated by OPT French Polynesia. It was initially constrained in bandwidth due to the predatory practices of the owner of its Hawaii cable landing station. With the sale of that cable landing station to another party, OPT have been able to gain more favourable connectivity, and have increased bandwidth on the cable from an initial 10 Gbps to 40 Gbps today.
