Telstra Endeavour
Telstra Endeavour
Telstra's Endeavour is a 9,120 km link between Sydney and Hawaii. It's entirely owned by Australia's incumbent telco, Telstra. The two-pair cable system had an initial design capacity of 1.28 Tbps but was launched in 2007 with only 80 Gbps lit. Capacity was upgraded in 2010 to 160 Gbps and in 2014 to 500 Gbps. A further upgrade in 2019 has likely increased the cable's design capacity by allowing for the use of 200 Gbps waves.
