The Hawaii Island Fiber Network (formerly known as the GST Interisland Cable), is a common carrier fibre optic submarine cable system extending between the Hawaiian Islands of Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui, and Hawaii, and consists of approximately 644 km of undersea fibre. It's owned 50% by Hawaiian Telecom Holdco and 50% by TX Telecom of Hawaii L.P, with the Kawaihae and Makaha cable landing stations owned by HTSC (Hawaiian Telecom Cincinnati Bell).
