Gondwana 1
Gondwana 1 is a 2,080 km long submarine cable that connects Sydney and Noumea. It was built by Alcatel-Lucent at a cost of EUR $42m, and commissioned in 2008. It's operated by New Caledonia's OPT.
New Caledonia plans a second cable for the Gondwana system which will connect Noumea and Suva, Fiji.
